Farnam is a village in Dawson County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Lexington, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 223 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 223 people, 95 households, and 64 families residing in the village. The population density was 332.0 people per square mile (128.5/km²). There were 107 housing units at an average density of 159.3 per square mile (61.7/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.31% White, 0.45% Native American, and 2.24% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.45% of the population.
There were 95 households out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.8% were married couples living together, 8.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.6% were non-families. 31.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.94.
In the village the population was spread out with 28.3% under the age of 18, 4.0% from 18 to 24, 22.0% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 18.8% who were 65 years of age or older.
